German words A2: meaning and where you use them

20 words for level A2. For each word: the meaning in Hinglish and English, where you need it, and one example sentence.

How to learn these words (5 minutes a day)
  1. Take only 5 words a day. Tap Explain and read the example.
  2. Tap 🔊 and say the word and the sentence out loud, three times.
  3. Next day: first repeat yesterday's 5, then take 5 new. Tap ✓ when you really know a word.

Nouns: always learn the word with der, die or das. Colours help: der · die · das.
